THEY'RE BAAACK!! Not extra-terrestrials but their cousins, those blackberries we cut down last winter - some are coming back up, as well as nettles and other prickly things.  We want you to help us clip them back and if possible dig them up (the only way to have them gone forever).

GOOD BYE OLD BALDY:  We need help in removing the ground cloth on the area where the hog fuel has slipped off.  Bring your gloves and X-acto knife to help us do surgery on that bare spot.  This spot has become a hazard for dogs and humans and we mean to do it in!

DRESS for the weather - we will work rain or shine, (we hope its shine) to fix the park up.

LEATHER WORK GLOVES or other tough gloves will make your hands happy.  We will have some rubber gloves but leather ones can handle prickly stuff better.

BRING A CLIPPER AND/OR SHOVEL if possible.  BUCKETS for moving woodchip also appreciated.  The City of Kirkland will provide some tools to remove the blackberries and work on the ground cloth removal but bringing your own tools is a surer bet since they have a number of other work parties that weekend (we may not get enough tools is what may happen, since we want a big turnout!) We will move some wood chips to cover Old Baldy up and make sure the ends where we cut the ground cloth off are well covered so they don't trip visitors up.

PARK WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE DURATION OF THE WORK- help us get it done faster and we'll re-open sooner!
