So, have you heard about one of the newest employees at Kirkland’s Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club, & Spa? Woody, a labradoodle puppy…. and Woodmark Hotel house dog….celebrity mascot,  is quickly climbing up the career ladder here in Kirkland. In April he began his employment as the Complaints Department Manager at The Woodmark. Woody couldn’t believe his luck, with the job perks being “eating biscuits, and lot of nap time.” At the beginning of May, Woody received a job promotion, and is now the “Guest Experience Manager” at the Woodmark, with an office conveniently located in the main lobby.  He will be hosting a new weekly event the Woodmark launches this week, “Woody’s Yappier Hour.” Woody invites all of you local canines and your owners to this fun weekly Wednesday night event:
What:   A dog friendly outdoor Happy Hour featuring the Beach Café happy hour menu, a “Dogtail,” complimentary doggie treats, and a copy of “City Dog Magazine”
When:   Starting Wednesday, June 2nd, 5pm-7pm/  These “Yappier Hours” will take place every Wednesday, weather permitting.
Where:  Woodmark Hotel, 1200 Carillon Point, Kirkland/  Yappier Hour will take place at the Woodmark’s outdoor lakefront event space, featuring unobstructed views of the Olympic Mountains.
What else is on this busy labradoodle’s summer agenda? Woody is hosting his very own contest for his canine friends at the July 24th Go Dog, Go! Kirkland Canine Festival. Does your dog have a special talent or trick? Don’t miss “Woody’s Friends Got Talent” at Crestwoods Park in Kirkland.

Did I mention that Woody also has provided a fabulous raffle prize for the event?  Woody and the Woodmark Hotel are the “Best in Show Sponsors” of Go Dog, Go!  Kirkland Canine Festival.  KDOG is excited about Woody attending this event, and very much appreciates his support (or paws up) in favor of his Kirkland buddies’ quest for a local dog park.
Have family or friends visiting the area? Don’t forget that Woody is over at The Woodmark assuring their stay will be wonderful.  To keep up with Woody’s adventures at the Woodmark, check out his very own blog, http://woody-woodmark.tumblr.com/. See you at Yappy Hour!
